5 Amazing Things About God That Religious People Want Kept Secret

God is so complex that we can spend our entire lives getting to know Him and what He wants. So it is easy for experts to tell you what they want you to hear (usually depending on their agenda). Therefore, here is a list of 5 amazing things about God that cannot possibly be based from what men want. While religious folk do teach these topics, they usually downplay them. Not here. Enjoy!

1) God has your best interests in mind, period

No matter what you have done, are doing, or will do – God loves you and wants the best for you. Your actions will generally follow your understanding of this fact. The less you understand it, the more worry, fear, and negativity you will produce. The more you get it, the more peace, joy, and love you will own.

God has taken great pains to make sure that you can rest in His love. So – why not?

2) God is your King, not man

Those that are in the business of Christianity don’t like this one. Some want to control what you do, how you manage your money, and even who you are. But you always want to make room for what God tells you in spite of what man has to say. Never put God in a box; instead, put Him on the pedestal that He deserves.

He really is in control. We need to align ourselves with Him to see the fruit of what a life of blessing comes to a heart that is full of gratitude to his God.

The buck stops with Him. God is the sovereign King of all.

3) God really is omnipresent

God is in everything. He sustains all life and all things of the spirit. He can do this because He abides in all of His creation. He is everywhere at once.

If you are afraid that He can’t hear you, realize that it is impossible for Him not to. He is listening all the time. You can talk to Him all the time.

If you feel incredibly lonely, take heart. He is right there next to you. Seek Him!

The God who made the world and all things in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands; nor is He served by human hands, as though He needed anything, since He Himself gives to all people life and breath and all things; and He made from one man every nation of people to live on all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed times and the boundaries of their habitation, that they would seek God, if perhaps they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; for in Him we live and move and exist, as even some of your own poets have said, ‘For we also are His children.’

Acts 17:24-27

4) God doesn’t really like to live in buildings

How can you keep God in a building? God is a free spirit unlike any we have ever seen on the face of the earth! He cannot be contained in temples, synagogues, mosques, or churches. It is hard to understand, then, why religious folk like to try to keep His creation boxed into a building.

Get out to His other cathedral: nature. Spend some time among the towering columns of the forest, the stained glass of the sky, and the baptismal of the lakes, rivers, and streams that He has provided for our pleasure.

5) God isn’t interested in your sacrifice

Jesus took the Pharisees to task on this point. They were really busy running around while trying to get the people to do what they wanted them to do. Give more. Pray a certain way. Don’t lift a finger to help others on the Sabbath day, the holy day of rest. Give more. Don’t heal when you are not supposed to, no matter how much they are suffering. Give more. You get the picture.

Jesus’ response was of outrage. Don’t strain out a gnat and yet swallow a camel! Don’t condemn the innocent. Learn what compassion means so that you, too, can help fulfill God’s destiny for others in need.

Remain pristinely unreligious. Don’t let others push you around when their agenda for you or others is at odds with God’s plan of freedom for your life.
